BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Buck Owens' Crystal Palace has permanently closed its doors. That’s the word from the Buck Owens family, which made the announcement Monday morning.
The museum, concert venue and dinner theater, which the late country music legend opened in 1996, held its final event last weekend, a two-night Buck Owens Birthday Bash.
“For over 28 years we brought the best of local and national entertainment to Bakersfield, served great food, and hosted thousands of special occasions for thousands of special people and families,” the family said in a statement. “Although Buck left us in 2006, we continued to maintain the excellence that he expected, striving to carry out his dream.
