NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Mostly dry conditions are still in place, except for the increase in moisture in Eastern New Mexico. Way-above-freezing temperatures were still once again confined to most of the higher peaks of the Northern Mountains with valley floor locations mostly starting off in the upper 40s or in the 50s, while elsewhere was mostly starting off in the high 50s to the low-to-mid 70s.

Persistent west-northwesterly winds aloft with a high pressure system drifting slightly more to the southwest of Arizona will combine to squeeze out a little bit more in the way of moisture once again in the form of some rounds of Monsoonal thunderstorms across the higher elevations through East New Mexico, including parts of Southwest New Mexico.
