A grim discovery was made in a bizarre place over the weekend.

It happened in Dane County, Wisconsin where sheriff’s deputies reported that human remains were found in a manure pit in Sun Prairie on Aug. 8.

Deputies responded to the 2100 block of State Highway 19 at 6:45 a.m. Dane County includes Madison, the home of the University of Wisconsin. It is located west of Milwaukee.

The body has not been identified by name. The Dane County Medical Examiner is expected to reveal an identity later.

An investigation is ongoing.
