Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team 4 assumed command of the Beulah Fire on Monday.

As of Monday, the Beulah Fire was 2,953 acres and 0% contained. 304 personnel are on the fire, with eight helicopters, five engines, five crews and one dozer.

On Sunday, the increased volume of smoke visible from the fire was the result of the fire burning through dry dead and down fuels in the right hand of the East Fork of the Bear River and was not significant fire growth, the management team said in a press release.

Crews have been focused on structural assessments and protection measures, including sprinkler and hose preparation, and improvements to access roads near the Hinckley Scout Camp and the Christmas Meadows area. The management team said that crews continue to work on fire suppress
