Incumbent Park City Councilor Tana Toly handily led the vote totals at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Summit County Clerk’s Office reported preliminary results after counting the mail-in ballots and drop box collections before noon. Still to count are in-person voters and ballots put in drop boxes after noon. Those results are expected to be announced by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Challenger Diego Zegarra had the second most votes with 799, followed by incumbent City Councilor Jeremy Rubell with 545, and in fourth was John Kenworthy with 467.

Four candidates will advance in the primary election to the general election Nov. 4.

With an unknown number of ballots yet to be counted, Beth Armstrong is close behind Kenworthy with 459 votes, and close behind her is Danny Glasser with 442 votes.
