TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - First responders in west Alabama are showing WBRC some examples of drivers not moving over in traffic, making it difficult for them to help people during emergencies even delaying their response times.
It was about two months ago when WBRC saw a NorthStar Ambulance on the way to an emergency with lights and siren on. They were going up 15th Street towards McFarland Blvd. When they got to the traffic light, they couldn’t move. In fact, no one moved.
Cierrea Baize has seen it too many times to count.
“All the time,” said Baize.
