The fire, which occurred around 6:30 p.m., prompted a swift response from the Springfield Fire Department, which managed to mostly put out the blaze by 10:30 p.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad.
Serg Prive, the owner of Chet's Scrap Metal, expressed his gratitude towards the Springfield Fire Department and Police Department for their quick response.
