BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Residents in the Ashford Park neighborhood of Brookhaven are still frazzled after a plane crashed into a front yard Saturday morning, narrowly missing homes.
Whitney Beiner lives two houses down from where the plane crashed at 9th Street and Clairmont Road.
“Oh, it’s a great neighborhood,” Beiner said. “If you’re outside, you hear the planes and the helicopters. But inside, it’s real quiet.”
The quiet came crashing down at 12:25 a.m. on Saturday.
“I thought maybe a car wrecked,” Beiner said.
Upon going outside, she was shocked to see a plane.
“The wing was hanging in the power lines over there,” she said. “The landing gear was in the yard next to us. I was like, ‘What in the world happened?’ Then, a few minutes later, I heard somebody screaming
