Victoria police have now released CCTV footage of a suspect in an ongoing synagogue vandalism investigation in hopes someone will recognize them.

VicPD shared the video Monday, after previously posting only a photo of the suspect following the Aug. 2 vandalism at western Canada’s oldest synagogue, Emanu-El Synagogue, which is located on Blanshard Street in downtown Victoria.

The footage was captured at 5:19 a.m., around the same time the building was vandalized – with subsequent images posted online showing the graffiti included slurs and threats directed at the Jewish community, prompting officials to speak out.
