A man has been arrested weeks after allegedly vandalizing the Massachusetts State House and placing a fake incendiary device on the Boston Common.
The defacement was found in the early morning hours of July 23 , with paint covering parts of the government building in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. A state police bomb squad responded to the discovery of a suspicious package common nearby.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office told NBC10 Boston Monday that Jermaiah Yusuf Sawaqed had been arrested. A bomb squad looked into a suspicious package on Boston Common, near a gate that was vandalized early Wednesday morning.
