LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The destruction left behind by this weekend’s storms can be tracked an hour outside the capital city down the gravel roads of Friend, where farmers like Terry O’Neel are now left cleaning up a mess.
O’Neel has been farming on his land in Friend since 1984, growing corn and soybeans alongside raising hogs. He spent this past Friday checking up on the animals in the building he’s kept them in since 2007, going to bed looking forward to the possibility of overnight rain.
