NE Ohio’s no-rain August dry stretch approaching historic records

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio has kicked off August on the dry side, with no measurable precipitation falling for 11 straight days — though Tuesday could finally offer some relief.

While dry spells in August aren’t unheard of, the current stretch — from Aug. 1 through Aug. 11 — is inching toward the longer side of the historical record.
