CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - If you’ve driven through Plaza Midwood recently, you may have seen three giant sunflowers towering over the sidewalk.

That’s all thanks to Quinn Miller, a 5-year-old girl who planted the three seeds in her family’s yard this spring.

Now, they’ve grown to over 10 feet!

The sunflowers have become a landmark in the neighborhood, with many stopping by to take photos and ask Quinn for gardening tips.

“Awesome!” Quinn said about her sunflowers. “I planted the seeds and the sunshine came and the water went down and it grew.”

When we asked if her parents helped her, she didn’t hesitate to answer.

“No,” Quinn said in response. “Because it was so easy!”
