CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - It’s a local election year for Mecklenburg County voters, and residents in Charlotte will be choosing their city council members.

WBTV’s Dedrick Russell is interviewing as many 2025 Charlotte City Council candidates as possible ahead of the election. Those interviews begin on Tuesday, Aug. 12 with two at-large city council candidates.
