One man was taken to the hospital and one person remains unaccounted for after a house fire in Cheshire early Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Brookside Place around 3 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they said they found a two-story home well involved in fire. It was reported that two people were inside.

Fire officials said a man was taken to the hospital and is under observation. The extent of his injuries are unclear.

According to fire officials, one other male is unaccounted for after the fire. First responders are working to determine if he was inside of the home or outside.
