Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair is pleading for President Donald Trump to pardon him and keep him from going to prison.
Telfair spoke with TMZ Sports recently after it was determined that he violated the conditions of his supervised release in his healthcare fraud case. He told the website that the situation is “definitely some bull[expletive].
“Trump, go check in on my story and you’re definitely going to want to pardon me,” Sebastian Telfair told TMZ. “You’ll hold me accountable and want me to continue to go do good. But I did too good to be sending anybody to jail.”
Telfair is set to report to prison on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, he is one of several former NBA players accused of running a scheme to steal money from the NBA’s healthcare plan.
Telfair was originally sentenced
