LANSING, MI - Michigan regulators released limited details Tuesday, Aug. 12, after recalling more than 26,000 vaping products believed to by tainted with banned ingredient known as MCT oil.
The products were sold under the brand names RIPZ and Motor City Cannacarts at 210 retail stores across Michigan since Nov. 1, 2024, according to the recall notice.
The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) said the recall involved vaping products processed by Warren-Based Sky Cannabis, which operates under the name Sky Brands.
“The licensee was made aware that there was MCT oil in their product and they chose to initiate a voluntary recall of their product,” CRA spokesman David Harns said.
