LUMBERTON — A local family-owned business hosted a back-to-school community event for students of all ages on Saturday.

The EMOTIONZ team has been in business for nine years and has hosted a school supplies giveaway for the community for five of those years. The giveaways include many essential items for the basic school year, such as pencils, folders, paper, and other useful materials.

The event is a way to give back to the community and ensure that local children have equal access to education and educational materials, regardless of their family’s financial status.

All attending community members received a bag of school supplies while listening to music and socializing.
