KENTUCKY (WKYT) - A recent law has led to changes in the way educators communicate with students.

It’s also led to a new app for some parents.

If you have kids in Fayette County Public Schools and you haven’t downloaded ParentSquare yet, you probably will soon.

On their website, ParentSquare refers to itself as a “A 21st Century School-Home Communication Platform.”

Back in May, the school board voted to approve a contract with the company. Because of a new law, it will be the main company they use for communicating with students.
