GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A potential acquisition involving two national broadcasting companies could have an impact on the West Michigan media market.

Nexstar Media Group, a national media company that owns WOOD-TV, is in talks to acquire Tegna Inc., a national media company that owns WZZM 13, according to a report from Reuters .

Reuters, citing an anonymous source, said a deal between Nexstar and Tegna “could be finalized soon, provided talks avoid last-minute obstacles.
