JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — A man was arrested for kidnapping after Jasper County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) deputies executed a search warrant on Carson Road in Ridgeland on Tuesday.

Jose Romero Cruz was arrested and charged with kidnapping.

Officials say that it was an isolated incident and there is no further safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing.
