Larimer County is accepting applications for small grants for nature-based neighborhood and community projects.

Grants of up to $4,000 will be announced in 2026 for the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources Small Grants for Community Partnering Program.

Over 27 years, the program has awarded over $445,000 across 246 projects throughout Larimer County.

Nonprofits, schools and community-based organizations can apply for money for projects that provide or enhance natural landscapes, nature-based environmental education opportunities or access to nature for those experiencing barriers. Other qualifying projects include those surrounding local food production or research on open spaces that provides new information on the ecology, history, visitation or human interactions.
