MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The man accused of going on a multi-hour, deadly shooting spree across the City of Memphis back in 2022 is expected to plead guilty to his charges in Shelby County Court on Wednesday, according to his attorney.

Ezekiel Kelly originally pleaded not-guilty to his 28 charges, which include three counts of first-degree murder.

His lawyer, Michael Scholl, says his client is expected to change his plea before Judge James Jones on Wednesday morning at 9.

As of now, his trial date is still set for Feb. 9, 2026.

Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy previously said he planned to seek the death penalty in the case, but that will be off the table if Kelly’s plea goes through, per his attorney, Michael Scholl.
