CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Heavy rainfall across the Chattanooga area has led to significant roadway flooding, prompting multiple road closures and warnings from emergency officials, according to NBC affiliate Local 3 News . Several key areas are currently impassable, and it is advised to stay off the roads.

East Brainerd Road (SR 320) at Gunbarrel Road

Interstate 24 at McBrien Road

Additionally, Hamilton County 911 says to avoid these areas that were heavily impacted by the flooding

I-24 is closed in both directions between mile markers 184–185 due to flooding. Detours in East Ridge are also flooded. TDOT will close I-24 between US 27 and I-75. Avoid the area.
