COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan is showing a "renewed and heightened" interest in running for Ohio governor, according to his spokesperson.
Ryan's spokesperson sent the following statement to 10TV after it was reported that former U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown was planning to run for U.S. Senate again.
"Sherrod Brown’s decision to run for the US Senate has renewed and heightened Tim Ryan’s interest in running for governor to further serve the people of Ohio."
When asked about a potential run in June, he told 10TV's sister station WKYC that he's not rushing to a decision.
