ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) -- A South City neighborhood captured what appears to be a man illegally dumping a mountain of limbs and branches in their alley.

Jim Miles and his neighbors in Tower Grove East found the mess on Monday. Their security cameras show a landscaping truck hauling a trailer full of debris stopping to drop the load before driving off.

They called in the incident to the city and contacted police. They also called the number listed on the side of the truck.

“It looked like he’d collected this over a period of time,” Miles said. “I guess whoever did it just didn’t want to dispose of it properly.”

The St. Louis Streets Department cleared the pile before noon, filling an entire dump truck. Kent Flake, the acting director of the department, described illegal dumping as a
