Two people died following a car crash in Franklin County Tuesday morning, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP) District 3.

WSP says the driver of car one was westbound on Foster Wells Road within Pasco City limits. The driver of car two was southbound on SR-395 going to Foster Wells Road.

Police say the driver of car one failed to yield the right of way and hit the side of car two.

WSP says the two people who died at the scene were 50-year-old Rafaela Huipio Alquicira and 17-year-old Yureli Alquicira Ontiveros.

Officers say they were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash.

The other driver was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
