For Katie Murphy, enrolling her children in New Haven’s public pre-K program has been a huge help.

“Pre-K has been a game changer just in terms of allowing us to continue working,” she said.

She said it’s saved thousands of dollars in daycare costs while causing minimal work disruptions.

“It’s really aided their transition to a successful experience in elementary school. Preparing with those basic skills,” Murphy said.
