STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford police made an arrest Tuesday after a driver was seen on video shouting anti-Islam remarks outside a mosque with people around.
Michael Slocum, 36, of Stamford, is charged with breach of peace in the second degree and was released with a promise to appear in court for Aug. 26.
The incident happened outside the Islamic Center on Washington Boulevard Saturday evening. Police said a man in a car stopped in front of the mosque, making derogatory statements as several congregants were outside.
