LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — FOX5 is looking into the claims of overcrowding at some CCSD high schools and getting answers from the district.
According to CCSD officials, at Green Valley High School, portable classrooms have been brought in to make room.
“Most of her classes yesterday were anywhere from 40 to 50 kids in each class,” explained one dad who asked we not share his identity for fear of backlash against his daughter still wanting to share her story.
“She’s a sophomore. She was in a portable yesterday… 90° was the temperature, and there was about 50 kids in the classroom. They don’t have enough chairs, not enough desks in the classrooms,” the dad reported.
