HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Tuesday, Hudson police responded to a serious electric bike and car collision. In response, the Hudson Police Department is reminding riders and drivers to be cautious when sharing the road.

Around 11:50 a.m. city police officers were dispatched to North 1st and Warren Streets for reports of an accident with an electric bike and a pickup truck. Upon arrival, officers reported the pickup truck driver was heading southbound on North 1st Street and entered the intersection at Warren Street when the e-bike hit the truck.

The driver of the truck told officers after seeing the rider lying in the road, he called 911 and then attempted to help the injured person. According to police, the rider was unconscious with a head injury but regained semi-consciousness when EMS
