DENVER (KDVR) — School is nearly back in session for all Colorado students, and Water World is entering its "off-season," which means it's almost time for an overhaul of the Calypso Cove area.

A Hyland Hills Parks and Recreation Community Relations Manager told FOX31 that the existing attractions, which include Wally World, Screamin' Mimi, Tortuga Run, Pirates Plunge and the Caribbean Family Adventure play structure, will be retired this year to make way for new attractions.

The Calypso Cove attractions are some of the oldest in the park, according to Hyland Hills, and the goal is to make room for a "reimagined, modern area that will include exciting new attractions and expanded amenities that will improve the experience for all guests, including families and children." • Water World i
