‘Law enforcement cannot do it alone’: Amid rash of violence, Flint police chief calls for community action

FLINT, MI – Faith Junior was enjoying the festivities for 810 Day in downtown Flint when gunshots rang out.

“I literally remember seeing a group of people run then hearing rounds of shot, and I ran to the Huntington Bank area and we were there, right behind the pillars, constantly hearing shots over and over and over,” said the 18-year-old. “That was the most traumatizing moment of my life.
