JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — The South Carolina Department of Transporation (SCDOT) is set to officially begin work on I-95.
The project, set to start Thursday, will widen I-95 from the Savannah River to US 278, improving mobility and operations along the 10-mile corridor of the interstate to mile marker 9 approximately.
The area of operation will include 14 bridges, two interchanges (exits 5 and 8) and a proposed interchange at exit 3, being completed as a separate project by the Town of Hardeeville.
