CLINTON, Mo. —

Police in Clinton, Missouri, are investigating an early morning homicide.

In a statement on Facebook , police said officers were called to a home in the 400 block of South Main Street early Wednesday morning. Advertisement

Little is known about the homicide itself, however, police said an adult male was killed.

A suspect in the incident was taken into custody and authorities believe there is no further danger to the public.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
