ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester City Ballet (RCB) has just announced today that it will be opening its own ballet school, called The School of Rochester City Ballet, on September 8th.
All dancers, regardless of age, are encouraged to register for fall classes now through September 8th.
"One of our main missions has always been to make ballet accessible and inclusive,” said John Deming, director at The School of RCB. “Whether you’re taking your first steps in ballet or striving for a professional career, our school is going to provide a safe and encouraging space for you to grow.”
It will provide training to prepare students for professional dance careers, as well as offer opportunities to be in dance productions alongside RCB's professionals.
