BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A vigil was held Tuesday afternoon for Juana Guerrero, the 16-year-old killed in a suspected DUI crash on Sunday.
Family and friends of Guerrero attended the vigil, showing support for her sudden passing.
"We wanted to thank everybody in the Bakersfield area who has come out and shown all of their love for our baby sister. She was the youngest of us all and the tallest of the bunch, and we want to thank everyone who has reached out and helped us during this very hard time in our lives.", says Guerrero's sister, Ana Ibarra.
Guerrero was a passenger in the car that was hit head-on by a Jeep on Union Avenue just south of Panorama Drive Sunday just after 6 p.m.
A GoFundMe was created to help Guerrero's family lay her to rest. To donate, click here.
