ROCKFORD (WREX) — Two teens and an 18-year-old have been arrested after police found guns and drugs in their car Tuesday night.
Rockford Police say officers pulled the car over in the area of 15th St. and 9th Ave. just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
In the car, police found two handguns, both loaded and reported stolen out of Rockford. One of the guns had a laser attachment. More than five grams of crack cocaine and around 20 grams of Ecstasy were also found in the car.
Two boys, 16 and 17 years old, were taken to Juvenile Detention on charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Having No Valid FOID. The 16-year-old is also charged with Armed Violence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
