HONOLULU (Island News) -- This morning, the weather over Hawaii is calm and quiet.
Satellite images show a weak system sitting just north of the islands, but it’s not bringing much rain. There are some light clouds moving in with the trade winds, but radar shows very little shower activity so far.
Today, the air is stable, and winds from the east-northeast are bringing in dry air. That means we’ll see mostly sunny skies with only a few passing clouds and light showers, especially in windward areas.
Winds will stay steady through the day, and the weather will remain dry and warm. A Small Craft Advisory is in place until 6 PM for the windier waters near Maui and the Big Island.
