DENVER (KDVR) -- A man was found dead near Boulder Falls on Tuesday afternoon, after the Boulder County Communications Center received a pair of Apple Alert SOS notifications from the area of 33000 Boulder Canyon Dr.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said it received a 911 call a "short time" after the SOS notifications were received, and that the reporting party said they had found a man who appeared to be dead.

The sheriff's office and other agencies responded to the call and found an unresponsive man on the east side of Boulder Falls, according to BCSO, which said the man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
