The Jacksonville City Council finalized the appointment of Planning Commission member Moné Holder to a new position on the nine-member board.

Holder, who was appointed to the commission in 2023 as an at-large member, will move to the District 5 seat after Council’s 18-0 vote Aug. 12. Councilmember Tyrona Clark-Murray of District 9 was absent for the vote.

The vote came on Resolution 2025-0478.

Holder will serve a partial term until Oct. 1, followed by a full term until October 2028.

The District 5 seat was vacated by former Vice Chair Tina Meskel of Meskel & Associates Engineering, who sits on the 2025 JAX Chamber executive committee. Meskel vacated her seat prior to the end of her term.
