The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association will begin its 2025-26 year with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Pour Taproom, 61 N. Laura St. in the VyStar Credit Union parking garage Downtown.

The JWLA board will present the year’s theme: “The Decisions that Define Us,” focused on choices made at home, at work, in the community and personal decisions.

The association was founded in 1982 to provide support and networking for women lawyers. Membership is open to all attorneys, male or female, in Jacksonville and surrounding counties.

Its mission is to promote gender equality and the leadership roles of its members in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large.
