The Bad Plus have unveiled a slate of tour dates from October through the end of the year, including a four-night residency at The Dakota.
For the 2025 installment of their annual December residency, which has been running for about a quarter of a century, the group will put on eight shows over four days starting on Dec. 25
Concerts will take place at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Christmas Day, and at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the following three nights.
Long a trio, Dave King and Reid Anderson, who founded the group with Ethan Iverson in 2000, expanded the group to a quartet in 2021 following the departure pianist Orrin Evans. They now perform with guitarist Ben Monder and tenor saxophonist Chris Speed.
