Federal operations at two restaurants in Colorado Springs are happening Wednesday.

Officers were located at the El Ranchito Meat Market at 3950 Airport Road, just east of Academy Boulevard, along with operations a few miles north at El Ranchito #2, at 3815 Maizeland Road, east of Academy Boulevard. Both locations are restaurant-grocery store combinations.

"It is an ongoing investigation with HSI (Homeland Security Investigations). ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) not involved," the Drug Enforcement Administration's Rocky Mountain Field Division spokesperson told Gazette news partner KOAA .

A man who said he was the owner of a liquor store next to El Ranchito #2 said he saw 10 to 15 officers go into the site, adding that he did not witness any arrests.
