A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 2:34 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 3:15 p.m. for Saratoga, Washington and Warren counties.

The storms are packing penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 50 mph.

"At 2:34 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Hartford, or 7 miles northeast of Hudson Falls, moving east at 10 mph," describes the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible."
