NORMAN — Oklahoma defensive ends coach Miguel Chavis worries about the current state of college football. It’s a far cry from what it was during his playing days at Clemson 15 years ago.
“I got two great concerns for athletes coming into college football today,” Chavis said. “No. 1 is that they don't learn perseverance. That's a real concern of mine as a disciple-maker and a mentor. How can you be great if you're always bouncing around? Different position coaches. Different dorms. Different universities. Different play calls. Like, how do you learn?
