LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Typical summer heat and rain chances should continue as we head closer to the weekend, and don’t forget about the humidity either.

Another hot day is expected Thursday although models indicate there may be some morning showers or storms along and south of I-10. So this is something we’ll watch for the morning commute. Aside from that, highs still should reach the low 90’s, and if any sunshine returns after rain, that is how things could become especially humid. Continue to stay hydrated when outside.

Rain chances look a little lower heading into the weekend as high pressure moves close. But there still may be enough moisture in place to create a few scattered storms. So outdoor plans appear to be fine, just keep an eye on the sky and First Alert Radar.
