GREENVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - Students at Muhlenberg County High School are channeling their inner Banksy this week.

From asphalt to art, seniors are turning their parking spots into personalized masterpieces ahead of the new school year.

“The parking spots, some schools have done them for a while,” said MCHS senior Laken Swallows. “We started ours last year, and I feel like it’s going to be an annual tradition. They (the school) liked the way it turned out. They got us in here to do it this year, and I’m excited to see everybody’s creativity.”

MCHS staff said the idea came about last year when the seniors came to them and asked to paint their parking spots. The school saw it as an opportunity for the students to have some fun in their last year of school, and the new tradition was born with
