LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Wednesday’s tragedies have people wondering what can be done to solve Louisville’s gun violence problem and not deter it.

Police believe the victim shot at the bus stop was targeted.

The trauma that lingers behind shootings like this has community members and officials searching for solutions. They brought their ideas to Friday’s Bishop’s Table.

Members of Metro’s Office of Violence Prevention say this is the time to come together.

“It takes all of us to start to heal this city, so our purpose here is to turn your trauma into purpose,” said Nannette Dix from the Office of Violence Prevention.

Police now say Wednesday’s shooting that killed 23-year-old Redaja Williams was targeted. Redaja’s daughter had to witness her mother get killed right in front of her.
