SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced it's seeking the public's input on the proposed 2025 Indiana State Rail Plan.

The plan lays out the state's vision for passenger and freight train systems, reports existing conditions in the rail system, and identifies the highest priority needs for funding for the next several years.

Although INDOT doesn't own or maintain the state's rail system, the Highways and Transportation Act of 1977 requires them to prepare a plan.

You can read more about the plan online.

You can then submit your input on the INDOT survey site. Share
